Birds

The cooling breeze strike in glee,
taking height and flow ever so free.
I watch as you dance upon the sky,
calling upon your friends as you fly.
The feeling of freedom,
relieving my boredom.
Come and take flight,
dance and soar towards the light.

I'm describing from a viewpoint of someone who is watching the birds fly. In a way, I envy their carefree life and their freedom. Their ability to fly as I watch over them. I view the birds flying as them dancing in the sky.

Tigers

There is a tiger,
In the bushes.
Gently and quietly,
Every step taken with care.
Run and pounce!
Soon the tiger shall have his fill.

It's a form of poetry. But I'm not too sure what type. The poem is basically describing how a tiger is hunting but every first letter when place together forms the word TIGERS.

Emotions and Personalities

In a vessel of the living,
lies the countless bodies within.
Every body with its own being,
a mind that proves its own living.
With some that despise one another,
while some that goes hand in hand with each other.
Like a balanced scale,
perfectly balanced in harmony without fail.
Anger, hatred, sadness and loneliness,
balanced with joy, friendliness, enjoyment and happiness.
Beings in our mind and bodies,
emotions and personalities,
those are what keep us living.

I believe that emotions are beings that exist in our minds. When they appear, they create personalities in us. I also believe that we decide what we want emotions to look like.

The poet describe emotions as what we define ourselves. In a way, I agree. Because we define ourselves with emotions, that's why we have personalities.

Poem of a friend

Following the glorious wind,
he spread open his wings.
Take flight and fly,
Soaring towards the light.
Wielding his sharpened blade,
Carrying the scythe to seal fates.
Casting a shadow upon the land,
as he took towards the lands.
His eyes watched his friends,
never taking them off from them.
And thus the wolf turn to look,
facing the dying sun,
a rock he threw.
"The sun will rise again,
and powers it will regain.
Thank you for all that you have done,
you might truly be the one,
to have influenced my life.
Had you not arrive,
Would I ever carry a smile on my face?
Would I ever leave from that place?
Like the wind,
from where you have been.
Taking away the sadness,
bringing about my happiness."
The wolf smiled,
staring for miles.
And thus he rose,
and time froze.
Replacing dark with light,
replacing sadness with joy.

I wrote this poem for a friend. In this poem, I'm the wolf while my friend is the guy who has wings and carries a scythe. This poem is just a dedication poem that I wrote for my friend.

The Dragon known as Free

There was once a dragon known as Free,
who soar high above trees.
Long were his wings,
everlasting joy he brings.
But life is never lasting.
For every flame he is casting,
a part of life gone in flames,
trapped in abyss covered by blames.
Tarnished were his glorious scales,
wings torn like broken sails.
His fading eyes,
and yet his mind ever so sly.
Slowly he watched,
and slowly every rock he touched.
Spreading open his wings once more,
take flight and away from the floor.
Crashing through the ceiling blocked by blames,
reclaiming his freedom and taking back his flames!

I depict freedom as a dragon who ruled upon the land where he live in. However, when freedom is taken away from you, will you accept it as your fate or will you fight back to regain the freedom you lost? For me, I chose to fight back rather than to accept fate.

The poet questions if freedom is truly worth fighting for. The feeling of being trapped, begging for freedom. Is freedom worth the sacrifice?
