A dream

I smell the blood of my next prey,
hunting in packs like any other day.
I leaped from trees to trees,
running and hiding from you in glee.
My silent footsteps go unheard,
watching you gathering closer into the herd.
As I ready my claws,
expecting this hunt to have no flaws.
I jump out of my hiding,
ready for a fighting.
But slowly the vision faded away,
noises approach like donkeys who bray.
And so light fills up the eyes of the hunter,
without realizing my own blunder,
it is a start to a new day.

Instead of just defining a the meaning of a dream, I decided to talk about what the person is dreaming. In this case, the person is dreaming that he is hunting until he was awaken by his alarm clock. Normally when we wake up, we wouldn't give much thought to our dreams. However, dreams carry many meanings. For others, it is a sign of what is to come. For most of us, it is pleasure and entertainment in the form of a fantasy that we created. And of course, dreams are also our goals in life.

The poet describes dreams as goals in our life. And also the pleasure that we, as humans, always desire.
